A Fat Wreck Production Blog #5

I'm sitting in traffic again on the forever horrible 635 (that's a highway in Dallas, TX; anyone familiar with this road knows what I'm talking about), late to another meeting once again. You'd think by now I would have learned to take a different route or possibly even leave earlier than scheduled, but nope. Nothing has set in yet. Surprisingly, for all this stop and go traffic which usually leads to sitting in the car frustrated, I'm very upbeat and chipper. Why you may ask? Well its not from the the 2 red bulls I chugged today or the deliriousness that seems to be setting in from lack of sleep. Its for one reason and one reason only. We are exactly one week from our trip to San Francisco as I'm writing this in google docs (insert don't text and drive PSA; but really I’m more or less at a stand still; it's going down to one lane)...

(Finally sitting behind a proper keyboard.) Within a weeks time, we will be flying to San Francisco to film more interviews for A Fat Wreck. Not only will we be in San Francisco filming, but we’ll be making our way down to Southern California to film in the amazing cities of Santa Cruz, Los Angeles, and Santa Barbara. We’ll get a chance to sit down with Lagwagon and Strung Out in the studio, who are both tracking new albums at the moment. We’ll also be catching up with Ryan Greene again for a second round interview, as well as interviewing Russ Rankin of Good Riddance and some of the fellas from No Use For A Name.

We’ve been meeting every week for the last few months preparing for the laundry list of tasks that must be done. With the Indiegogo campaign money finally starting to roll in, it’s now crunch time. Between the perk orders that are about to go out, to the itinerary for the trip, and the final equipment purchases for the film, it has never felt more real than it has this week. We’re making a movie!! It’s hard to believe that this is happening sometimes. We can never thank everyone one enough who donated to the Inidiegogo campaign and to everyone who has supported the making of this film. This truly is a film made by Fat Fans for Fat Fans.

Feel free to email us with any questions or comments you may have about the film and we will be happy to answer any and all.
